Display Screen Equipment and Office Ergonomics

When was the last time a colleague complained of a sore back, aching wrists or headaches at the end of a day at work?

With workspace related injuries on the increase, it has become even more essential that every member of the team actively thinks through and improves the physical layout of their Display Screen Equipment (“DSE” for short, or their “Workstation”).

By simply adjusting their VDU, keyboard, mouse, desk, chair, sitting position, lighting or work environment, they can alleviate the risk of injury and fatigue.

Learn HQ present an interactive DSE training course, in association with AT&F Solutions. Covering everything from common (and avoidable) injuries, to eyesight testing and fitness exercises. We help you keep your workers active. Not only does this boost their morale, but cuts sickness rates too.

At the end of the course, each candidate completes a multiple-choice assessment module to confirm their level of understanding (and ability to put their new learning into practice). Every question provides immediate feedback, with an overall pass/fail awarded. All test scores are recorded to provide proof of training.

A Risk Assessment Questionnaire is included so that each of your staff assesses their own workspace. Any problems highlighted here are recorded for later analysis and all issues addressed.

Additional topics for laptop users and home workers include finding a good workspace, posture and identifying poor work environments.
